Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cloudkart.ai (“Cloudkart”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website and services. We aim to collect as little as possible, to be clear about what we do collect, and never to sell your data. Cloudkart.ai is operated by Cloudkart Technologies, with its registered office at KEONICS IT Park, Phase-1, Kalaburagi, Karnataka, India - 585 103.
Information we collect
- Account details. If you sign in (via Google or a one-time email magic link), we receive your email address and, where provided, your name and profile picture. Authentication is handled by our processor Supabase.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide to send our digest. Email delivery is handled by Beehiiv (newsletter) and Resend (transactional emails).
- Content you submit. Reviews, forum threads and posts, upvotes, saved collections, tool submissions, and listing-claim or edit requests, together with the account they are associated with.
- Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization to understand which pages and tools are useful. Analytics does not load at all unless you opt in, and you can decline.
- Outbound click logs. When you click through to a third-party tool, we record an anonymous event (the tool, any campaign parameters in the link, and the referring page) to measure interest. These logs are not linked to your account.
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting and security layers process your IP address and request metadata to serve pages, prevent abuse, and rate-limit. We do not use this to build a profile of you.
How we use your data
We use personal data to operate the service (accounts, reviews, the community, saved collections), to send the newsletter you asked for, to understand and improve what's useful (with consent), to keep the platform secure and free from spam and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show ads.
Legal grounds
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (analytics, newsletter); performance of a contract (providing your account and the features you use); and our legitimate interests in securing the platform and understanding aggregate usage. Where India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) applies, we process personal data on the basis of your consent or for legitimate uses permitted by the Act. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: a consent cookie (ck_consent) that remembers your analytics choice; a session cookie set by Supabase to keep you signed in; and, only if you accept analytics, Google Analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers (“processors”) that help us run Cloudkart.ai, under appropriate safeguards: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Sanity (content management), Typesense (search), Google (sign-in and, with consent, analytics), Beehiiv (newsletter), and Resend (transactional email). We may also disclose data where required by law. We never sell your personal data.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to tools are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you sign up or purchase. This never influences our scores, rankings, or editorial coverage. See our About page for how we stay independent.
International transfers
Our providers may process data on servers outside your country, including outside India and the EU. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate legal safeguards (for example, standard contractual clauses).
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can delete your content or ask us to delete your account, after which we remove or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.
Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls, row-level database security, and other safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond quickly to issues. To report a security concern, see our security page.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a regulator. Under India's DPDP Act you may also nominate another person to exercise your rights and contact our Grievance Officer below. Under the CCPA, note that we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email us at privacy@cloudkart.ai.
Children
Cloudkart.ai is not directed to children. We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect personal data from, anyone under 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent as required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves or the law changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take additional steps where required.
