How it compares
Genie One extends Databricks from conversational analytics toward an agent that completes work; against TextQL it's deeper in the Databricks stack but less BI-tool-agnostic.
Full review
Genie One is Databricks' agentic coworker, announced 16 June 2026. The first generation of Genie offered conversational analytics on data stored in Databricks; Genie One broadens that to data both inside and outside Databricks and across connected applications.
Crucially it goes beyond answering questions to producing documents, reports and artifacts, and it ships on web, iOS and Android. It runs on the Databricks platform, so it's aimed at existing customers rather than as a standalone tool. Agent; outcomes vendor-reported.
