Our take

Databricks' agentic coworker for business teams. Available on web, iOS and Android. Launched June 2026; needs the Databricks platform.

Best for

Databricks customers who want a business-facing agent that acts across their data and produces real deliverables.

Pros

  • Connects to data inside and outside Databricks
  • Produces documents, reports and artifacts, not just answers
  • Web, iOS and Android apps
  • Built on the mature Databricks platform

Cons

  • Requires Databricks
  • Enterprise pricing, not standalone
  • New — capabilities still expanding

How it compares

Genie One extends Databricks from conversational analytics toward an agent that completes work; against TextQL it's deeper in the Databricks stack but less BI-tool-agnostic.

Full review

Genie One is Databricks' agentic coworker, announced 16 June 2026. The first generation of Genie offered conversational analytics on data stored in Databricks; Genie One broadens that to data both inside and outside Databricks and across connected applications.

Crucially it goes beyond answering questions to producing documents, reports and artifacts, and it ships on web, iOS and Android. It runs on the Databricks platform, so it's aimed at existing customers rather than as a standalone tool. Agent; outcomes vendor-reported.
