Our take

Figma Weave (the former Weavy) is a node-based canvas where you chain the best models - Flux, Kling, Runway, Luma, Recraft, Seedream and more - into reusable pipelines, with real editing tools (masking, compositing, upscaling) alongside. It's built for pros who've outgrown one-model, one-button generators. Free tier is 150 credits/mo; Starter runs about $24. Figma-backed since late 2025.

Best for

Designers, VFX and marketing creatives who want to chain multiple AI models and edit, not just generate one-shot images.

Pros

  • Node canvas chains many top image/video/3D models in one place
  • Pro editing: masking, relighting, outpainting, compositing, upscaling
  • Reusable pipelines for repeatable, production work
  • Free 150-credit tier; transparent credit pricing from ~$24

Cons

  • Node-based workflow has a learning curve vs one-click tools
  • Credit costs add up on heavy video generation
  • Direction now tied to Figma's post-acquisition roadmap

How it compares

Where Midjourney or Ideogram give you one model and a prompt box, Figma Weave is a pipeline tool - its value is orchestrating and editing across many models for finished, repeatable output.

Full review

Figma Weave - the product formerly known as Weavy - is a browser-based, node-based creative canvas for professional designers, cinematographers, VFX artists and marketing teams. Instead of one model and a download button, it brings many leading models (Google, Kling, OpenAI, ByteDance, Black Forest Labs, Runway, Luma, Recraft, Bria and more) into a single canvas, where you chain steps into reusable pipelines spanning image, video and 3D.

Crucially, professional editing lives in the same workspace - masking, relighting, z-depth extraction, outpainting, upscaling, inpainting and a full compositing layer - so it's a finishing tool, not just a generator. Pricing is credit-based and transparent: a free plan with 150 credits/month, Starter around $24, Professional around $45, and Team plans, with image gens costing a few credits and video a lot more. Figma acquired Weavy in late 2025; it still bills on its own credits, but its long-term direction now sits inside Figma's roadmap.
