Our take

Sana AI is an enterprise assistant that searches across your internal knowledge and the web, records and summarises meetings, and lets teams build agents. A free tier connects Drive, SharePoint and calendars; enterprise adds SSO, API and provisioning. It's a credible Glean alternative with a learning heritage, though deep setup is sales-led.

Best for

Teams that want unified knowledge search, meeting capture and custom agents in one assistant.

Pros

  • Searches internal tools plus the open web
  • Records, transcribes and summarises meetings
  • Build custom expert agents
  • Usable free tier with common integrations

Cons

  • Enterprise features are sales-led and gated
  • Crowded enterprise-search space
  • Best value needs broad integration setup

How it compares

Versus Glean it adds meeting capture and an agent builder; versus point note-takers it aims to be the whole knowledge layer.

Full review

Sana AI, from Swedish company Sana Labs, is an enterprise assistant that searches across your internal tools and the open web, records and summarises meetings on Zoom, Teams and Meet, and lets teams assemble custom expert agents. The aim is a single knowledge layer that answers questions and prepares you for what's next, rather than another siloed app.

There's a free tier that connects Google Drive, SharePoint and calendars, while enterprise adds SSO, a service-level agreement, the API, SCIM provisioning and HR-system connectors behind a sales conversation. It competes squarely with Glean and similar tools; the meeting capture and agent builder are what set it apart, but you get the most value once it's wired into your whole stack.
