Cons

  • Needs the Snowflake platform
  • Best for data work, not general coding
  • Consumption-based costs add up

How it compares

Against repo-pointed agents like Claude Code and Codex, CoCo's edge is living inside the warehouse with governed data context — and an independent benchmark to back the claim.

Full review

Snowflake CoCo is a data-native AI coding agent, renamed from Cortex Code at Snowflake Summit in June 2026. It works inside Snowflake, using your governed data, metadata and permissions to generate accurate, production-ready code via a native desktop app, cloud agents and an agent SDK.

On ADE-Bench, an open benchmark for analytics data-engineering tasks, CoCo scored 72.1% versus 65.1% for both Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, and Snowflake reports it uses fewer tokens to finish the same work. More than 7,100 Snowflake customers are already building with it. As an agent it carries an independent benchmark, which is stronger evidence than vendor self-reporting.

Composio provides the execution infrastructure that connects AI agents to real software. It sits at the tooling and connectivity layer of the agent stack, giving developers one framework - SDKs, a CLI and 850+ pre-built connectors - to let agents act across apps such as GitHub, Slack and Salesforce. It handles the hard parts: complex authentication and OAuth, plus remote sandboxed environments for safe execution, exposed over the Model Context Protocol so agents can reason and then reliably take action. The platform is built for production, with SOC 2 and ISO 27001:2022 certifications and deployment across public cloud, VPC and on-premises. Composio operates from San Francisco and Bangalore and raised a $25M Series A led by Lightspeed, with angels including Vercel's Guillermo Rauch and HubSpot's Dharmesh Shah.
