Our take
Willow is AI dictation that works across Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android on one subscription - speak and it types, accurately, almost anywhere. It's a clean, cheap alternative to Wispr Flow, with a free weekly allowance and $12-15/month after. Differentiation in this space is thin, but if you want fast dictation that follows you across devices, Willow does the job well.
Best for
People who want fast, accurate dictation that works the same across all their devices.
Pros
- Cross-platform on one plan: Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android
- Genuinely frictionless - dictate into almost any app
- Free tier (2,000 words/week); paid from ~$12/month
Cons
- Crowded space vs Wispr Flow and Krisp
- Mostly single-purpose - dictation, not much more
How it compares
Versus Wispr Flow, Willow's main edge is broad cross-platform coverage (including Windows and Android) at a similar, modest price.
Full review
Willow is an AI dictation tool: you speak, and it transcribes accurately into whatever app you're using. Its standout is reach - the same subscription works across macOS, Windows, iPhone and Android, where several rivals are Mac-first - so your dictation setup follows you between devices.
There's a free plan with 2,000 words a week, an Individual plan at about $12-15/month, and team pricing from $10/user. It launched in 2025 and has shipped quickly (Windows, Cursor support, teams) through early 2026. For Indian users the price is modest and the Windows support matters, since plenty of work happens on Windows machines; the honest caveat is that dictation is a crowded niche, so try the free tier against Wispr Flow and pick the one whose accuracy you prefer.

OpenRouter is a unified API and marketplace for large language models. With one account and key you can reach 300+ models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral, Cohere and many smaller providers, using an OpenAI-compatible interface. It charges passthrough rates (provider cost plus a small markup) and publishes live pricing and usage-based model rankings, so you can compare options and route to the cheapest, fastest or most reliable one. It supports automatic fallback across providers and a free-model tier for experimentation; the main costs to watch are a 5.5% credit-card fee, which hits small top-ups hardest, and a 5% bring-your-own-key fee on requests above one million per month.
